The furnace was designed to cycle rocks to temperatures of 1000C to test the effects fo rapid heating and cooling on different rock types.
This study is being done for the possible development of solar energy farms in the Northern Cape. |

This new 10 cubic foot slimline kiln was based on our ever popular 8 cubic foot front loading kiln. Designed to go through a standard door. Capable of firing on single phase 57A or three phase at 19 Amps per phase. |
