Engineering Heat Treatment Furnace

This solid furnace is ideal for all heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering and annealing.

Construction is of heavy mild steel sections and plate, epoxy coated for maximum protection. The lining comprises 114mm of insulating firebrick backed up by 50mm of calcium silicate board. The hearth is manufactured with a 40 mPa wear-resistant castable. 

Grooved bricks carry heavy duty Kanthal A1 elements on the three walls and door. The counter-weighted door swings open easily with an "up and over" action that protects the operator from radiated heat. All elements are isolated when the door is open; by the action of the door opening a limit switch breaks the circuit to the supply contactor. 

Digital set-point controller or fully programmable controller is standard. 

Optional Extras : 7 day delay start, alarm buzzers can be fitted to the two pattern, 8 step programmer or the fully programmable controller can be fitted with delay start timers, dwell timers and alarm buzzers.
