Information

We can wind elements for all kiln and furnace types.

We require as much information as posisble to be able to correctly wind your new elements.

A form is availabel to help you complete this task on the CPS Resources Page.

Please provide:

1. A detailed drawing of the element set-up
2. A picture of the spec plate and notate the current draw, kW rating, voltage, model, make and serial number
3. Length of the elements and number of grooves it occupies
4. length of the tails and if they are twisted or single.
5. Outside measurment of the coils
6. Thickness of the wire - will need a vernier for accuracy

REMEMBER:

• Element lifespan is directly related to the temperature to which you fire, the higher the temp the lower the lifespan!
• Vacuum out element channels before firing and clear away any debris.
• Glazed ware should not be closer than 4cm from an element.
